The challenge is the very narrow band; small score differences translate to big shortlist differences. ## What's the WAT and PI like? WAT (Written Ability Test) is a 30-minute essay on a current affairs / general management topic. PI (Personal Interview) is ~15-20 minutes with a panel covering academic interests, current affairs, motivation for management, and behavioural questions. T.I.M.E.'s post-IPMAT WAT/PI prep includes mock interview rounds - important since Class XII students typically have less interview experience. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can I take IPMAT after Class XII (gap year)? Yes - the eligibility window is Class XII completion with the year of qualification in the current or immediately prior year. One gap year between Class XII and IPMAT is allowed. Beyond that, gap candidates aren't eligible for the IPM. ### What's the difference between IIM Indore IPMAT and IIM Rohtak IPMAT? Two separate exams for two separate institutes' integrated programs. Similar format but different cutoffs and selection processes. Many candidates take both as parallel options. IIM Rohtak's program is newer (started 2019); IIM Indore's is the longer-running and more competitive. ### How is the 5-year IPM structured?
